8.30.18 - Lift Every Voice
The attention economy has reached an inflection point. As a marketer, I see already that the old methods of grabbing attention are starting to fail in the face of savvier consumers and increased competition. At the same time, the voice of the market has never been clearer and more available -- to entities who know how to hear it. We're going to reach a point soon where creating content for consumption is less valuable than understanding trends as they present themselves on social media. This trend foretells a diminished value for original, even rigorous research. The market is now a direct primary source, and presenting that intelligence will be far more valuable than prognostications or probabilities.
